The Jockey is easy to pull, fuel-saving, low-wear and at the same time universally applicable. However, the Jockey is mainly used for classic mulch sowing. With its robust leaf spring tines, the machine is also well suited for use on stony areas. Precise seed placement, even at high working speeds, is a hallmark of this machine. The robust design and easy handling are appreciated by the users.
The 4-row arrangement of the seed tines results in a row spacing of 16.6 cm. The spring tine in the dimension 70 x 12 mm is dimensionally stable and thus low in vibration. This guarantees an even sowing depth.
The seed is placed in bands of 3 cm width. Row centre to row centre = 16.6 cm. The tines as a sowing unit with a coulter load of more than 230 kg maintain the preset depth optimally. This is important for shallow sowing, such as rape or deep sowing such as field beans and peas.
Adjusting the working depth on the Jockey is absolutely simple and easily accessible. Both, the support wheel at the front and the double STS rollerat the back, determine the placement depth. Almost any placement depth can be set via a detailed hole grid. There is a scale on the support wheels for orientation.
The hydraulic level board is used for levelling and removing tracks on the plough furrow and during mulch sowing. At the same time, it supports the machine in the front area and ensures smooth running.
A large tank opening makes the Jockey tine seeder easy and convenient to fill.
The seed tank has a volume of 2700 ltr. The large-dimensioned metering unit of the pneumatic seed drill works precisely even at high forward speeds. The fan is hydraulically driven. Speed monitoring, tramline control, hectare counter and tank reserve indicator are standard features. The distributor plate and the tramline flaps are located outside the seed hopper.
The 13 mm following harrow is a simple tool with a high level of effectiveness. It separates the soil in such a way that the larger clods rest on top to protect against erosion, while at the same time leveling it and achieving excellent distribution of residues.
Optionally, the Jockey can be equipped with a pre-emergence marker. The discs leave a very visible mark for the following operation.
For monitoring all seed hoses Köckerling offers an optional seed flow control. A signal is immediately triggered, if a fault actually occurs in the hose system.
To prevent too much seed being sown twice in the event of overlaps, e.g. due to certain tramline rhythms or at the end of the field, the Jockey can be equipped with half-side shut-off. In this case, the outlets of the distributor head are fitted with adjusting flaps, which can then be closed at the push of a button, if required. The seed rate is adjusted accordingly.
With the massive tram line marker, markings can be optimally created for the connecting runs. The large, discs leave a clearly visible track and are individually adjustable.
