The Boxer is a machine for carrying, metering, mixing and conveying seed and/or fertiliser. The Boxer is driven in the three-point linkage of the tractor. Complementary machines can be used to spread the seed/fertiliser carried in the Boxer. The Boxer is often used in combination with a semi-mounted cultivator. With the aid of the cultivator tine, this combination is used to place fertiliser in the soil in a targeted manner, while an e. g. covercrop can be spread behind the roller of the cultivator. Special features of the Boxer: Combination options with various soil cultivation implements for incorporating fertiliser, or with a wide variety of tillage combinations for sowing and simultaneous fertilising. Here, cost savings can be realised, as existing technology only needs to be modified, but can otherwise be used without restriction. (In the case of Köckerling implements, this can be combined with the Allrounder -profiline- up to 7.50 m working width, the disc harrow Rebell -profiline- and Vector).
A metering unit, developed by Köckerling itself, is mounted under each tank. These innovative metering units are equipped with low-wear cellular wheels made of polyurethane. Polyurethane is a very flexible material that thoroughly seals the cell wheels in the metering unit, just like a cell wheel sluice. Thus, the unit requires neither an injector nor a pressure tank.
The fill level of the tanks can be clearly seen through a window. The two tanks (each with a capacity of 1,450 liters) can be used down to the last kilogram.
So that the driver can keep an eye on the attachment while working, both tanks are mounted on the frame at a sufficient distance. This means the machine can be easily monitored through the gap between the tanks.
