With the need to prepare stubble for mulch or direct drill stubble working techniques have to be improved. The need to keep weed seeds and volunteers in or on the surface combined with good straw mixing and distribution has a major effect on subsequent crops. The TRIO with its three rows of tines has been developed to produce the desired effect.

The STS (soil to soil) packer roller provides effective reconsolidation – vital for regrowth. The weight is heavier than the bar roller and presses the soil flat. The “U” profile rings fill with soil and the friction between the soil in the “U” profile and the ground keeps the roller turning with minimum slip. Soil shedders mounted on a bar behind the roller restricts the amount of soil in the “U” profile.

The working depth is controlled by the STS rear mounted roller. The working depth can be adjusted between 5 cm and 25 cm by selecting the appropriate hole on the STS mounting arm. The weight of the machine is therefore placed on the STS roller producing excellent reconsolidation producing the best possible re-growth. The side mounted depth wheels provide stabilization aiding consistent work quality and working depths.
