History

This family manufactoring business was founded in 1955 in Verl (Ostwestfalen) by the merchant Heinrich and the engineer Friedrich Köckerling.

 

The KÖCKERLING family had traditionally plied a forge locally and had been trading in agricultural implements. Even in the forge they had already made by hand special equipment elements.

 

KÖCKERLING development and construction of agricultural implements have always been based on practical considerations and necessities.

 

1955  Combination implements for tillage and husbandry of row crop cultures like the harrow "Ackerfreund" for intensive and trouble-free cultivating

 

1960  Tractor/trailer implement "Super" for plantation and husbandry of row crop cultures

 

1961  Development of trend-setting seed bed preparation implements

 

1968  Development of the first plough-drill-combination "Minimat"

 

1972  Launch of the new packing-drill-combination

 

1975  Begin of development and construction of heavy cultivators and large spring-tine cultivators

 

1981  Production of the first steel-welded spring packer rings for the trailed  and front-mounted star-cam packer

 

1985  After an important period of development, the direct grass seed drill  is  fit for the launch

 

1990  Presentation of the first weeder, designed for the work in crop culture, mulch bed preparation and medow land

 

1993  Begin of the development of implements for ploughless cultivation under  european conditions

 

1994  Launch of the first Universal Series AT drill for mulch and direct sowing

 

1997  Agritechnica 1997: silver medal of the DLG for the straw spreader

 

1998  Development of the 4- and 8-tine-bar cultivator

 

 

2000  Launch of the cultivators "Quadro" (4-tine-bars) and the Precision  Cultivator (8-tine-bars) for the precise depth stubble cultivation with thorough mixing and straw distribution

 

2004  Launch of the first Universal ULTIMA drill for mulch and direct sowing
